This is a BB cream that has laid on my shelf for a little while and I have finally come around to trying and testing it out. This Skin 79 BB cream is a very well-known and popular BB cream that has been around for ages it seems. A lot of people who start out with using BB cream often pick this one up, so naturally I had to try it to see what the hype was all about.
This BB cream usually comes in a little pump-cylinder container, but since I am testing it out and not knowing if it would work well for me, I committed to the 25 g tube instead. :) My first impression of this BB cream is that it has quite a brightening effect. I'd have to say that this BB cream can probably lighten your complexion up to a shade. As well, it is quite a thick BB cream and can be difficult to spread evenly around the face sometimes. I guess I've really become used to more water-based BB creams which seamlessly blend into your face without much effort!
A positive about this BB cream is that it does provide pretty good coverage. Probably more than those water-based BB creams I was mentioning above which tend to be a lot more thin. But as you can see from the swatch above, it does seem to cast a grey tint on certain skin tones, so that can be a major downside for some skin tones. On myself personally, I find that it makes me a look a little too lighter than I would like to be. :-/
In all, it's a great BB cream to start out with. But for myself personally, I find it a little too thick and light for my liking.
