The first thing that really caught my eye about them was the packaging. L'oreal has really stepped it up lately in terms of making their packaging more luxe and stand-out from the other drugstore products. The only problem is that it does tend to collect fingerprints quite easily -_-. Rose On and On is a very interesting colour because it really swatches different from how it applies on the lips.

Initially swatching it, it seems like a very pale rose-berry colour. On the lips though, it appears much more darker than it actually swatches! I actually really liked this effect since I was afraid the stain wouldn't show up (it was really sheer on the swatch). You really do have to build this stain for coverage though, but once you do, it spreads quite evenly. I was also pleasantly surprised at how moisturizing this felt on my lips. It's like a hybrid between a lip gloss and stain-you definitely do not need to apply balm underneath for comfort but you get the lasting power of a stain.
The only downside I can think of this product is the interesting (?) scent. It has a soapy-alcohol like scent which may deter a lot of you with sensitivities. Luckily it doesn't last once the stain is applied so I can't think of this being too much of a problem.
If you are a big fan of Lipstains in general, this one may be worth the try.
About a few weeks ago, I was debating between this shade and the one I have (Pink Resistance). Some people love it or hate it - I like that it's a stain that doesn't require exfoliating beforehand. Did you apply one or two coats on your lips in the photo?
ReplyDeleteI applied about 2 coats! :) It is a tad on the sheer side so you need to build it up a bit.
